Matt comes to DTRN with a lifelong love of science fiction, fantasy and general geekery, which started when his parents introduced him to Star Trek at the age of six. At the age of seven he watched his first episode of Doctor Who -- “The Ark in Space” on VHS, in case you're wondering, although there is anecdotal evidence that he was enthralled with both Peter Davison and Colin Baker's tenures as a toddler – and the rest is history. Currently, Matt splits his time between his position as Editor of GeekPlanet, and his co-hosting duties on The Sci Fi Guys. Away from the station, Matt lives in West Sussex with his finacee and two cats, one of whom may possibly be an agent of the Devil. He has no children that he knows of, at least not if those alien abduction dreams really were dreams, and harbours lifelong ambitions to write an episode of his childhood favourite, Doctor Who, and to meet the great Hayao Miyazaki. Who knows? Maybe someday...
